But Beck says it was already a mess...
Beck and Inglorious Basterds star Til Schweiger are suing each other over Schweiger's Malibu rental property. TMZ reports that lawsuits have been filed by both parties after Beck rented the property from 2010 through February of 2013 for $11,000 per month and when he left the place was in poor condition.
Schweiger claims that Beck had unauthorized work done on the home while he was there which caused "substantial physical damage" to the tune of $40,571 in repairs. He also claims that the singer owes a month of back rent. Beck's countersuit alleges that the place already had problems when he showed up including mold, plumbing and electrical issues which caused damage to appliances and laptops, among other things.
Schweiger is suing for the back rent plus damages for a total of $56,704.24 while Beck's suit is demanding the $11,000 security deposit that hasn't been returned.
