MIA Quits Jay Z's Roc Nation
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.02.2014

MIA has revealed on Twitter that she is leaving Jay Z's company Roc Nation. The news comes after her 2013 release Matangi. She also said that she's looking for several people to join her team in the areas of art, music, film, web and marketing. She wrote:

She hasn't given a reason for why she left, but it's believed that her relationship with the company was strained ever since a trailer for her documentary leaked online by director Steve Loveridge. Roc Nation removed the clip from Youtube and MIA had tweeted at the time that she was "blacklisted".

Roc Nation's roster includes Grimes, Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Rita Ora, Haim and Timbaland.
