Rapper’s request to drop the lawsuit is denied…
Billboard reports that judge refused a request by rapper 50 Cent to drop a lawsuit over a sex tape posted online that has him edited into it as a narrator wearing a wig.
A judge refused 50 Cent's request to dismiss the claim from Lastonia Leviston in a ruling made on Thursday (Jan. 2). Lawyers for both sides haven't returned calls for comment as of yet.
The videotape in question was made by Leviston with a boyfriend in 2008. According to the judge's decision, the boyfriend later provided the tape to 50 Cent without Leviston's permission. 50 Cent later used the footage to make a video with himself as a character named Pimpin' Curly.
50 Cent says he was not responsible for the video's release in 2009, but he did say it was legally fair to use the images. Leviston is seeking unspecified damages.
