A tentative ruling has been issued...
A judge has given a tentative ruling denying Katherine Jackson a second trial against AEG in the death of Michael Jackson. As previously reported, Katherine lost a jury decision in October in her wrongful death suit against AEG Live, claiming that they were negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray. She filed a request for a new trial, with her lawyers arguing that the verdict form issued to jurors did not allow them to fully consider evidence.
Billboard reports that a Los Angeles superior court judge denied the request but has not finalized the ruling yet. AEG's lawyers claimed that Katherine's team were the ones that included the disputed language on the jury form.
If the ruling stands, Katherine's lawyers can file an appeal with a higher state court.
