Converse To Release New Black Sabbath Chuck Taylors
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.07.2014

Rolling Stone reports that Converse is teaming up with Black Sabbath for five new Chuck Taylor All Star shoes as part of its spring 2014 colletion. The shoes feature cover art from four of the band's albums during their time with Ozzy Osbourne, including 1970's Black Sabbath, 1970's Paranoid, 1972's Vol. 4 and 1978's Never Say Die!, along with logos and photos of the band.

The liner of the Paranoid shoes features a photo of the band playing the song live on a Belgian TV show in 1970 while the Vol 4. shoes have a Lunarlon sockliner that has Ozzy with his arms out as on the LP cover.

This is the second time the band has allowed Converse to use its name after 2008. The shoes will cost between $60 and $70 depending on the design.

The band will continue to tour this year after a huge tour in 2013 to support 13. The new tour begins in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on March 31. A press release said it would be "part of the band's final shows" for its world tour.

Meanwhile, the band is still considering writing a new album. Geezer Butler said sin June: "Well, I guess you should never say never. It could be, though. We'll see how this album goes, see what happens."
