He says he's not guilty...
Chris Brown has rejected a plea deal in his Washington, D.C. assault case. Billboard reports that Brown's lawyers told the judge today that they had turned down an offer in which Brown would have pled guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge. One of his lawyers said outside of court that the deal was rejected because Brown is not guilty. Brown was in attendance for the ten minute hearing, but did not speak.
The charges, if you will recall, stem from an incident in October where he and his bodyguard were arrested after a man said they both attacked him when he tried to photobomb a picture Brown was taking. Prosecutors revealed in court that they do have substantial video surveillance and will be turning it over soon.
Brown's probation in his 2009 domestic assault case involving Rihanna was revoked over the incident. Brown's next court date is February 10th for a progress hearing on anger management rehab in the probation revocation, while the next case for the Washington, DC case is February 20th.
