The CSA only wants them shown after 10PM…
The Associated Press (via Billboard) reports that the videos for Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" and Britney Spears' "Work Bitch" have been deemed to be too racy for daytime TV in France and are only allowed to be broadcast after 10PM.
The broadcast watchdog in France, CSA, says TV channels should only show the videos after 10PM when French broadcasters show a range of programming that is more adult-oriented. CSA said in a statement Thursday that some channels were showing them during the daytime without any parental guidance warnings.
The "Wrecking Ball" video, which shows Cyrus riding around naked on a wrecking ball, is too sexually explicit according to the CSA. Also the Spears video shows "a sadomachistic universe representing women in a way that risks shocking many viewers."
