Her third album to do so...
Billboard reports that Katy Perry's album Prism has now sold one million copies after selling 51,000 copies (a total of 1,020,000 in 11 weeks).
This is her third album to sell over a million copies after 2008's One of the Boys and 2010's Teenage Dream. Dream took twenty weeks to get to a million and it went on to be certified double-platinum by the RIAA.
The success comes from the hit single "Roar", which spent two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. "Unconditionally" has peaked at #14 while "Dark Horse" (ft. Juicy J) is up 11-6 and his her thirteenth top ten Hot 100 song. If Prism gets more hit singles, the sales will rise. Teenage Dream have five singles on the Hot 100 go to #1, tying Michael Jackson's record with Bad in 1987-88 for the most for one album. The "Complete Confection" re-release added a sixth with "Part of Me".
