Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Taylor Swift To Perform At Grammys
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.14.2014

Billboard reports that Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the two surviving members of the Beatles, will perform at the 56th annual Grammy Awards. The band will get the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. The event takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 26.

McCartney is nominated for Best Rock Song for "Cut Me Some Slack", his collaboration with the surviving members of Nirvana. The Beatles have been given nine Grammys over the years, starting with Best New Artist in 1964.

Other new performers include John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban. There will also be a special performance from Album of the Year nominee Sara Bareilles and MusiCares Person of the Year Carole King. Starr, Bareilles, Macklemore & Lewis, and Musgraves are all making their Grammy performance debuts.

They join a list of performers that includes Katy Perry, Lorde, Robin Thicke, Metallica, Daft Punk (with Stevie Wonder, Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams), Pink (with Nate Ruess), Kendrick Lamar (with Imagine Dragons) and a special combination of Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton. LL Cool J will host.
