Woman Sued Over Miley Cyrus Concert Scam
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 01.19.2014

A woman who allegedly claimed to be Miley Cyrus' booking agent has been sued for failing to produce the pop star for a New Year's Day concert. TMZ reports that promoters for the Miami South Beach Outdoor Festival has filed a lawsuit against a woman who they sent $125,000 to as a deposit to get Cyrus to show up at the concert. The lawsuit alleges that the woman said she was Cyrus' booking agent and that the money was sent to a back account while the deal was being finished. According to the plaintiffs, the woman cleared out the bank account and didn't deliver Cyrus.

The promoters believe they were dealing with Cyrus' agent, while the woman says she doesn't work for Cyrus but is acting as an intermediary and forwarded the money to Miley's people. Cyrus' people say that they are not involved in any way, shape or form.
