Radiohead and The National Members Teaming For Classical Album
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 01.19.2014

Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead and Bryce Dessner of The National have teamed up for a split classical album. Pitchfork reports that the two rock band members are joining forces for St. Carolyn by the Sea/Suite From There Will Be Blood, which will release on March 4th via Deutsche Grammophon. The album includes the track "Deutsche Grammophon," which features Dessner's brother Aaron (also of The National) on electric guitar. Greenwood's contribution is his score for the film There Will Be Blood.

The press release announcing the LP revealed that they've been put together because they share "quintessentially American themes such as the vast expanses of the country's landscape, or a sense of nostalgic longing."

The tracklist is below:

Dessner:
"St. Carolyn by the Sea"
"Lachrimae"
"Raphael"

Greenwood:
"Open Spaces"
"Future Markets"
"HW/Hope of New Fields"
"Henry Plainview"
"Proven Lands"
"Oil"
