GPS data conflicts with police report...
TMZ released a new report claiming that Justin Bieber was driving under the speed limit when he was allegedly caught drag racing by Miami Beach police officers on Thursday (Jan. 23).
A police report says police spotted Bieber and his friend Khalil drag racing at 4AM. Their two vehicles allegedly were reaching speeds between 55 and 60 MPH. Police said they saw Bieber drag racing on the 2600 block of Pine Tree Drive. They said they pursued the other cars for 15 blocks.
The company where Bieber and Khalil rented their cars from had attached GPS devices to the vehicles that also track speed. The GPS reportedly clocked both cards at 27 MPH at the 3500 block of Pine Tree Drive, during the middle of the apparent "drag race." The only time they broke 50 MPH was when the two driver left a club, one car was briefly clocked at 52 MPH and the other at 47 MPH. The drivers then slowed down for five blocks before police noticed them and they were going 34 MPH in a 30 MPH zone. Later, they were then clocked at 27 MPH.
