Daft Punk Planning to Wear Star Wars Stormtrooper Helmets for the Grammys
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.25.2014

THR reports that Daft Punk will be wearing Stormtrooper helmets from Star Wars for their upcoming Grammy Awards performance on Sunday, January 26.

Stevie Wonder is set to perform live with Daft Punk at the show along with Pharrell and Nile Rodgers, who also appear on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories album. The Stormtrooper helmets that Daft Punk will wear are said to be "authentic" helmets from the Star Wars franchise.

The report states, "According to a source, the masks look like they could be from the The Empire Strikes Back era and appear to be authentic."

Daft Punk are up for five Grammy awards, including Album of the Year gong, Best Dance/Electronica Album, and Best Pop/Group.
