2014 Grammy Nominees LP Competing with Frozen for #1 on Next Week’s Album Chart
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.29.2014

Billboard reports that the 2014 Grammy Nominees compilation album is on track to top next week's Billboard 200 chart at No. 1.

The album is expected to sell 85,000 copies to make it to the top of the chart by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, February 2. The album's sales are bolstered by the January 26 broadcast of the Grammy Awards. The new Billboard 200 chart top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, February 5.

The soundtrack to Disney's Frozen is also in contention to slot at No. 1 next week. The album recently spent its third non-consecutive week at No. 1 with 93,000 copies sold.

Casting Crowns is also likely to have their highest new entry with the release of their new album, Thrive. The album is expected to sell more than 75,000 copies by the end of the tracking week. The release will likely place in the top 5.
