The arrest report says Bieber was "excited, talkative, insulting, cocky" and profane when dealing with Miami Beach police last week. An officer at the scene said that Bieber "reeked of marijuana." When asked about it, Bieber said: "Yeah, we were smoking all night at the studio."
Bieber was originally okay with a "breath test" but then changed his mind and asked the cop what would happen to his license if he refused. Bieber seemed "out of it" and couldn't follow basic instructions on how to give a sample. They said "he had extreme difficulty providing a continuous breath." They also claimed he didn't blow into the tube properly and thought he was trying to mess up the test on purpose. He became "agitated" and said he was "blowing into the hose like he blows into his trumpet."
Police also say he admitted to taking anxiety medications. He added: "My mom takes care of all that stuff for me."
Bieber blew a .014 on the test, which is barely noticeable. However, he did fail the field sobriety test as he had trouble staying balanced, he couldn't follow a moving object properly, he swayed and he couldn't do the "finger to nose" test with his eyes closed.
Meanwhile, the toxicology report came back and revealed that Bieber indeed tested positive for marijuana and prescription medication. His urine was tested when he was arrested on January 23 and showed traces of THC and Alprazolam in his system. Alprazolam is a key ingredient in Xanax.
He tested negative for cocaine, opiates, meth and other drugs. This is consistent with the arrest report. He has pled not guilty to all charges.
