Justin Bieber's Plane Detained in New Jersey Over Marijuana Smell
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 01.31.2014

Justin Bieber can't catch a break this year. TMZ reports that Bieber's plane was detained at Teterboro airport in New Jersey, where Bieber was heading with his father and friends for a Super Bowl party. Law enforcement held the plan after smelling marijuana on board. All passengers were eventually released without any drugs being found; a source close to Bieber says the passengers knew they would be searched because the plane came in from Canada across nation lines.

Bieber's troubles over it aren't done yet though. The site also notes that the pop star has been flagged by Customs officials and is being questioned because of the two criminal charges pending against him between his Toronto arrest for allegedly striking a limo driver and his DUI and drag racing charges in Miami. Customs officials have the power to flag people entering from another country when they have an active criminal case or conviction. Sources say Bieber is being "put through the grinder" by Customs, with one source noting, "Once you're flagged it's a grueling process to get in the country."

Beiber will likely be released since both charges are minor.
