Franz Ferdinand Accuses Pharrell Of Borrowing "Take Me Out" Riff

Pitchfork reports that Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos sent a tweet to Pharrell Williams today implying that Paloma Faith's new single "Can't Rely on You" (which Pharrell wrote, produced and is featured on) takes a riff from the band's song "Take Me Out".

He wrote: "Hey @Pharrell - I love your tunes," he writes. "If you want to borrow a riff, just ask..."

A fan then asked: "Maybe you could buy him a new hat once he's paid up?"

Kapranos added: "Let's hope it's a hit, then. Again."

Pharrell and Paloma Faith have yet to comment. Here are both songs so you can decide for yourself.
