Katy Perry Spends Second Week at #1 on Billboard Single Chart
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.05.2014

Katy Perry spent a second week on top of the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Billboard reports that Perry's "Dark Horse" featuring Juicy J hit #1 for a second week, holding onto the spot with gains in all metrics including sales and streaming. The song held off a major surge by Beyonce's "Drunk in Love" featuring Jay Z which jumped eleven spots to #2 on the strength of their Grammy performance. It is Beyonce's fifteen top ten hit and her first since a featured spot on Lady Gaga's "Telephone" in 2010.

While Beyonce leapt up, Pitbull's "Timber" featuring Ke$ha made way with a one-spot slide to #3. Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty" featuring 2 Chainz was up two to #4 and OneRepublic's "Counting Stars" fell two spots to #5.

In the bottom half of the top ten, Passenger's "Let Her Go" was up a spot to #6 while A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera's "Say Something" was down three spots to #7. Pharrell's "Happy" was up three places to #8 and Lorde's "Royals" and "Team" had the bottom two spots at #9 and #10, respectively.
