Frozen could also still reign as No. 1…
Billboard reports that the compilation album Now 49 is projected for a high debut on next week's Billboard 200 chart. The set could reach the No. 1 spot and is competing with the movie soundtrack for Frozen for the top slot.
The Now 49 set is expected to sell around 90,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, February 9. This could be enough to unseat Frozen from the No. 1 slot. The movie soundtrack has hit No. 1 on the chart four times in nonconsecutive weeks. If Frozen hits No. 1 again, it will be the longest-running No. 1 soundtrack since Waiting to Exhale spent five weeks at the top of the chart in 1996.
Other albums projected to make high debuts next week include: Toni Braxton and Bayface's Love, Marriage & Divorce (around 55,000 copies), Broken Bells' After the Disco (40,000 copies), and Little Mix's Salute (35,000 to 40,000 copies).
