Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 02.06.2014

Billboard reports that Daft Punk and Pharrell both had significant surges on the Billboard Social 50 chart this week.

Daft Punk hit No. 6 on the chart after winning multiple awards at the Grammys. The duo had a 740% bump in weekly views on their Wikipedia page. Their videos on VEVO and YouTube received 11.6 million overall plays for the week. Conversation on the two also increased 4.6% on Facebook, and they added 172,000 new fans.

Their co-collaborator Pharrell also jumped on the chart, going from 37-18, thanks in part to his onscreen appearances with Daft Punk Punk. Pharrell gained 431,000 new fans overall for the week, a 61% increase over last week.

In addition, Beyonce also jumped back into the top 10, going from 12-7. She had 30 million plays across VEVO and YouTube after her Grammy performance of "Drunk in Love" with Jay Z, a 27% overall increase over last week for her.

Also Lorde had a significant jump, going up from 27-12 after winning Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo performance at the Grammy Awards. She had a 23% increase in weekly fan acquisition and a 147% increase in traffic to her Wikipedia page.

Rounding out the top 10: Shakira remained No. 1; Justin Bieber was No. 2 again; Miley Cyrus was No. 3; Rihanna moved up from 8-4; Katy Perry moved up from 6-; Ariana Grande went down from 4-8; and One Direction also moved down from 7-9.
