Prosecutors Want Justin Bieber's Girlfriend to Turn On Him In DUI Case
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.07.2014

TMZ reports that prosecutors in Justin Bieber's Miami Beach misdemeanor DUI case are looking for witnesses, including his own girlfriend Chantel Jeffries, to testify against him. They have been asking Jeffries, her friends and her family to help them incriminate Bieber.

A source in the State Attorney's office said it's not unusual for prosecutors to look for witnesses even though this is a standard DUI misdemeanor case. Jeffries is not willing to help, however, as she claims that Bieber did not drink or smoke marijuana in the club before he drove the rented Lamborghini. She also said that the drag racing claim is also false as they never went faster than 40 MPH.

This is the latest setback for prosecutors. The police claimed that Bieber smelled of alcohol in the car and when he was at the station, but he only registered an .014 on the breathalyzer test. Meanwhile, his GPS showed that his top speed was 44 MPH, with a reading of 27 MPH during the time of the supposed drag racing.
