In unpaid royalties...
Radar Online reports that Dr. Dre is suing his former record label Death Row Records after the allegedly didn't pay him $3.05 million in royalties. He said the number comes from $676,444.44 for unpaid mechanical royalties; $1,200,386.57 in unpaid artist-producer royalties; and $1,179,913 in unpaid digital sales. The third comes from a suggestion to Dre after he lost a 2010 trademark infringement suit.
Dre also claims there is a fault in the payments he got from Death Row, as they haven't honored a bonus that would increases his album sales from 18 to 20%.
Suge Knight hasn't been in charge of the label since 2006 after he declared bankruptcy. WIDEawake, the new owner, sold Dre's songs online, setting up his current digital sales claims.
