Drake Denies Claims That He Ripped Off A Jeweler's Design
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.11.2014

TMZ reports that Drake is denying claims that he ripped off a design from New York jeweler Michael Raphael of Baden Baden Inc. Raphael claims that he created a $50,000 diamond-studded platinum owl pendant for Drake, based on a logo he's used for years. Drake then created replicas of the pendant and Raphael sued.

Drake said that Raphael doesn't own the design as it was based on an ancient Egyptian hieroglyph that may be over 5,000 years old. It is the sympbol for the letter M and can't be copyrighted. He's asking the judge to throw the case out.
