The man has demanded a quarter of a million dollars...
The man suing Chris Brown for an attack on during a basketball game at a 24-Hour Fitness is being accused of extortion by Brown's lawyer. Mark Geragos told TMZ that Malcolm Ausbon, who sued Brown claiming that he was assaulted by the singer and three security men in July, is threatening to press charges if he doesn't get $250,000.
Geragos provided TMZ with a letter from Ausbon's lawyer demanding the sum and saying that if Brown doesn't pay, "Mr. Ausbon is placed in a position by the LAPD where he needs to decide whether he will press charges...He would rather be compensated."
A lawyer in Geragos' office says he met with Ausbon's attorney in August, who he says admitted that Brown never touched Ausbon.
