It can't be stopped...
The Frozen soundtrack is about to score the longest soundtrack reign at the top of the album chart in fifteen years. Billboard reports that the album is likely to top the Billboard 200 chart with 85,000 copies sold, beating out Eric Church's The Outsiders with 80,000. This will give the Disney soundtrack its fifth nonconsecutive week at #1, the most for a soundtrack since the Titanic soundtrack hoarded the #1 spot for sixteen weeks in 1998.
The album is only one of five soundtracks to spend four weeks at #1 since Neilsen Soundscan became the source for the chart in 1991 and is the second soundtrack since 2010 to sell a million copies (the other being Pitch Perfect). The highest debut for the week will be Cole Swindell, whose self-titled debut will sell around 60,000 for a top five debut.
