Will Bieber accept the terms of the deal?
TMZ reports that law enforcement sources are saying that the Florida State Attorney has offered Justin Bieber a plea deal for his DUI/resisting arrest case.
Below are the terms for the deal from the report. Prosecutors will drop the DUI and resisting arrest charges if Bieber does the following:
He must plead no contest to reckless driving.
He has to complete 40 hours of community service.
He must attend an alcohol education course.
He has to attend a "victim impact panel" where relatives of DUI victims share their stories.
He has to have an ignition interlock device installed in his car(s) for three months.
In addition, prosecutors also reportedly want Bieber to submit to random drug testing and not just in the state of Florida. He would have to submit his travel plans to the court and authorities would set up random testing wherever he happens to be at his own expense. Testing would last between six and nine months.
If Bieber complies with all the terms and passes the drug tests, the reduced plea would formally be entered.
