Oasis To Re-Release Definitely Maybe For 20th Anniversary
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.26.2014

NME reports that Oasis will re-release their 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe in May for its 20th anniversary. The new version would be released on May 19 and includes rare and unreleased songs. The reissue is the first in the Chasing the Sun series from Big Brother Recordings. What's The Story (Morning Glory)? and Be Here Now will be re-issued later this year.

The album will be released as a CD and digital download of the original album, a three-disc Special Edition with rare songs and demos, a 12" vinyl LP with all bonus CD content as a free download and a Deluxe Box Set with the LP and CDs. The band will also re-release "Supersonic" as a 12" vinyl for this year's Record Store Day on April 19.

The bonus material includes the band's single "Whatever", previously unreleased acoustic versions of "Live Forever" and "Shakemaker" (recorded in Paris), an early demo of "Half the World Away" (recorded in Noel Gallagher's Tokyo hotel room), a demo of the very rare "Strange Thing" and a live recording of "Sad Song" (from Manchester Academy).
