Soundgarden To Perform Superunknown At SXSW iTunes Festival

Billboard reports that Soundgarden will perform their album Superunknown in full at the iTunes Festival at South by Southwest, to celebrate the album's twenty year anniversary. The band will perform on March 13. The event will be streamed live at the iTunes store on all computers and mobile devices. Those with iOS or Apple TV can use the iTunes Festival app to stream the performance in HD. The show will happen at ACL Live at the Moody Theater.
Other performers at the festival include Coldplay, Pitbull, Keith Urban, Willie Nelson and Imagine Dragons.
A&M Records and Universal Music Enterprises announced plans for two Superunknown re-releases on June 3. There will be a two-disc deluxe edition with the a remastered original album and a second disc with sixteen demos, rehearsals and b-sides (ten previously unreleased). The Super Deluxe edition has five discs with more rare sounds and a hardbound book that contains new liner notes and rare photos, re-made artwork and the entire album mixed in Blu-ray Audio 5.1 Surround Sound.
