UPDATED: Man Who Approached Kim Kardashian In Black Face Says He's Not Racist
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.28.2014

UPDATED: TMZ has video from the Vienna Opera Ball where a man drops a racial slur during an interview with Kim Kardashian. As previously reported, Kim was livid from the event, where she was approached by a comedian in black face pretending to be Kanye West and had the N-word dropped in front of her. The video is below, in which a man says he wants to dance to "N****rs in Vienna." The terms is obviously meant to be a play on Jay Z and West's "N***as in Paris" except the man clearly uses the "r" at the end of the word.

Kim appears to be unamused by the comment; as reported, she flipped out and then stormed out of the ball.

ORIGINAL: TMZ reports that the man who approached Kim Kardashian in black face at the Vienna Opera Ball (pretending to be Kanye West) said it was a misunderstanding and he is not racist. He also claims he didn't mean to offend her.

The man is Chris Stephan, an Austrian stand-up comedian. He apologized on his Facebook and said he's "incredibly sorry" for how the incident happened. He claims he never intended to be racist as he's of Arab descent.

Kardashian stormed out of the event after she was approached by Stephan. She was paid $500,000 to be the guest of Austrian businessman Richard Lugner, who said she was a bad date.
