Britney Spears, Lady Gaga And Others Spotted At Elton John's Oscar Party
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.03.2014

Billboard reports that Elton John held an Oscar party last night to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Among the guests were Lady Gaga, the Kardashian family, Steven Tyler, Britney Spears, Heidi Klum, Quincy Jones, Whoopi Goldberg and others. It was John's 22nd annual party. It was held in a tent just a few miles away from the ceremony.

John said: "If Pharrell Williams doesn't win best song, then I'm (expletive) going home early."

This was after Williams performed "Happy". Williams didn't win but the award was handed out late. There was a technical problem that interrupted the show for a few minutes.

After the broadcast, the party really started. At one point, Neil Patrick Harris offered to make out with he highest bidder for an items with tickets to his Broadway show Hedwig and the Angry Itch. Steven Tyler then told dirty jokes as he auctioned off five nights in his Hawaiian "getaway", which raised $100,000. John took crowd requests and played some of his hits on a piano that went for $220,000. Later on, he was joined by Ed Sheeran for "Candle in the Wind."

There was a dinner, dancing and more celebrities including Olympic ice dancing gold medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White, along with bronze boblsedder Aja Evans. They all had their medals. The event raised $5.1 million for the charity.
