Emily Eavis confirms it...
In an interview with BBC 6 Music's Mary Ann Hobbs (via EFestivals), Emily Eavis, the daughter of Glastonbury head Michael Eavis, said that Prince will not appear at Glastonbury festival this summer at Worthy Farm. She said that organizers are working out who will play where on the lineup.
She said: "He's someone that will be amazing one day, he's somebody that we haven't had, and we would love to have him at Glastonbury. But no, no we haven't. For me I get really excited about the new stuff, those on the Park Stage and the smaller stages around the outside of the site which you. You can find someone who is brilliant, and think you can put them on here, because by June everyone is going to be really excited about them. Someone like Courtney Barnett who is brilliant, you think okay, let's give her a really good slot in the afternoon because she's just at the right point, and by June she could have a big crowd. It's really nice to see that transition, see who by June is going to be really big, or a lot bigger. So we're doing all that, the headliners is obviously an important part of it, but there's a whole lot of new music. We've spent all year, and at the moment we are dreaming about it every night, sleepless nights... and a the moment it's constant, the debate about who goes where, and trying to get everything right."
