Beck Announces North American Tour
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.11.2014

Billboard reports that Beck has announced North American tour after the release of his album Morning Phase, which is his second-highest charting album ever. The tour begins on April 9 in Santa Barbara, California followed by a Coachella appearance a couple of days later. He also has shows in Arizona, Texas, Ohio and Canada and others. The pre-sale begins on Wednesday, but you need a password. You can get more details here. Beck will also appear at the Firefly festival in June and the Pitchfork and Forecastle festivals in July.

Morning Phase was Beck's 10th charting album on the BIllboard 200, which sold 87,000 copies. Only 2005's Guero has charged higher, as it went to #2. Beck will release another album later this year.

He said: "There's always this unreachable that you're trying to get to," he said. "And you get pissed you can't get there, but that's the beauty of it. I put all my time into this, and I still feel like I'm still figuring it out. There's still more to do. When I'm playing live is when I really feel it - like there are songs missing. Like, 'This is such an incomplete picture.'"

Here are the dates:

April
9 - Santa Barbara, Calif. (Arlington Theatre)
23 - Tucson, Ariz. (Rialto Theater)
24 - El Paso, Texas (Abraham Chavez Theatre)

24 - North Adams, Mass. (Mass MOCA)
