Neil Young's High Fidelity Music Player Hits Kickstarter Goal
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 03.12.2014

Neil Young's high fidelity digital music player is already quite the success. The Kickstarter campaign for Pono Music hit its $800,000 goal in less than ten hours and has, as of the time of this writing, reached $1,978,334 in the first day of being open.

The service will use high quality digital file format that will provide a better sound than MP3. It was launched yesterday with an announcement at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Pono consists of a digital music service titled PonoMusic and a 128GB portable player that is capable of storing 1,000 to 2,000 high resolution songs. The player will retail for $399.
