Judge Rejects Man's Request To Dismiss Lawsuit For Videotaping Kanye West's Proposal To Kim Kardashian
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.18.2014

TMZ reports that the man who secretly videotaped the engagement of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian has his request to dismiss the lawsuit denied by a judge.

Chad Hurley, who co-founded Youtube, said when he videotaped the event at AT&T Park in San Francisco and released it on his website MixBit, he didn't know he signed a confidentiality agreement. He tried to get the lawsuit dismissed on those grounds. However, the judge said the document Hurley signed was only a page long and the word CONFIDENTIALITY were at the top.

Hurley could be liable for fraud which could cause him to pay millions of dollars in damages, according to West and Kardashian's lawyer Eric George. Hurley would have the money to pay the damages, as Google bought YouTube for $1.6 billion.
