Plea Bargain Being Negotiated In Justin Bieber Egging Case
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.19.2014

TMZ reports that Justin Bieber will be charged for egging his neighbor's house but the case will probably not go to trial. The Los Angeles County district attorney contacted Bieber's lawyer Howard Weitzman about a meeting for restitution. The neighbor put the value of the damage at around $20,000.

The negotiations will focus on paying for the damage and pleading no contest to misdemeanor vandalism. Bieber would serve no jail time and get placed on informal probation. Bieber would be charged, the plea bargain would get entered and then it would be over.

The District Attorney and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department have a disagreement over the case, as the Sheriff wants to charge Bieber with a felony because the egging was intentional and caused a large amount of damage. The DA thinks a misdemeanor is more appropriate. Weitzman has not met with the DA yet but that should happen soon. The case will likely be closed as early as next week.
