Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Refuse Youtube Founder's Offer To Pay Charity As Settlement
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.24.2014

Radar Online reports that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West recently turned down an offer from Youtube founder Chad Hurley to settle their legal battle by making a donation to charity. Instead, they want the money for themselves. They sued Hurley after claims that his leaked video of their engagement hurt them financially.

A source said: "Chad wanted to make a donation to a charity just to make it go away. But Kim and Kanye didn't want the money to go to a charity, they want it to go directly to them."

The couple aired the engagement on Keeping Up With The Kardashians in a two-part special. Hurley will see them in court on November 17, as Judge Ruth Kwan ruled on Friday. It's possible they will reach a settlement before then, but it doesn't seem likely. On March 14, the two filed a motion to stop Hurley's request to have the case dismissed under California's anti-SLAPP statute. They claimed that they "generally object to the entirety" of Hurley's argument. The judge ruled in their favor.

The source added: "Chad really doesn't think he did anything wrong."
