Lil Za's Felony Vandalism Charge Changed To Misdemeanor
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.25.2014

TMZ reports that Lil Za's felony vandalism charge for breaking a jail phone was changed to a misdemeanor. Za was arrested during the search of Bieber's home this past January. Police found MDMA (Ecstasy) and Oxycodone. He was taken to jail, got angry and broke the phone, which caused the vandalism charge.

The Los Angeles County Misdemeanor has agreed to reduce the charge because the phone was not worth $400. The law states the property damage less than $400 is only a misdemeanor. The DA will also not charge Za's friend Justin Bieber with felony vandalism and that damage was over $20,000. It would be hard for them to justify charging Bieber with a misdemeanor and charging Za with a felony.

Za's punishment on the drug charges would probably be a drug diversion program. He would plead guilty to felony drug possession. After a drug education course and remaining out of trouble for a year, the charge would then be erased.
