Comic Biography of Kurt Cobain to Be Released
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 03.26.2014

THR reports that the late Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain, will be featured in a new comic biography release from Bluewater Productions, the publisher who has previously done comic biographies with the life stories of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Keith Richards for their Tribute series.

The comic will be released on April 2 on the 20th anniversary of Cobain's passing. It will be released in print and digital forms. The story was written and drawn by Jayfri Hashim and retells Cobain's story from his early days to his battle with overwhelming fame to how he suffered mentally and emotionally.

Speaking on the release, Bluewater publisher Darren G. Davis said: "The Tribute line of comic books tells the stories of people that have made a significant difference in the world while they were with us. It is a way for us to honor these people who have made a difference in the world. Not only is this a great way to understand the importance of his contribution to music, but it is a great tool for kids to read about him in a different medium. Our biography comic books are now taught in schools and libraries for students and reluctant readers."

The print copies can be ordered at Comic Flea Market for $3.99. Digital copies are also available for pre-order on iTunes.
