Morrissey Confirms Re-Release Of Vauxhall and I
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.27.2014

NME reports that Morrissey has confirmed the 20th anniversary re-release of his 1994 album Vauxhall And I. The "20th Anniversary Definitive Master" will be released on June 2.

The second disc will feature a 14-song concert at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane on February 26, 1995. The live concert features five songs from the original album, along with the song "Boxers" and a cover of Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini's "Moon River", which won the Best Original Song Oscar in 1962 for being featured in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

The album was originally released in March 1994. It hit #1 in the UK and #46 in the US on the Billboard Hot 100. It includes the songs "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get", "Hold On To Your Friends" and "Now My Heart Is Full".

After the re-release, Morrissey is expected to release his new album World Peace Is None Of Your Business, his tenth solo album. It will be his first since 2009's Years of Refusal. It was recorded in France and was produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, The Killers). It will be released in either late June or early July, part of Morrissey's new deal with Capitol Records offshoot Harvest.
