Lady Gaga and Beyonce Have Big Gains on This Week’s Social 50 Chart

Billboard that both Lady Gaga and Beyonce had significant surges on this week's Billboard Social 50 chart.

Lady Gaga re-entered the Social 50 at No. 26 after the release of the music video for her song, "G.U.Y." on March 22. The debut gave Gaga an 86% increase in weekly views on her Vevo channel. The video had 16 million views for the week ending on March 23. She also had an 87% rise in mentions on Twitter and an 84% gain in conversation on Facebook.

Beyonce went back into the top 10, going from 11-6 after she posted pictures of her travels on Instagram. The activity gave her an 80% gain in followers for the week. She also posted a behind-the-scenes video from her concert tour on her YouTube page. This gave her an additional 775,000 new followers on the platform.

Rounding out the top 10: Justin Bieber remained at No. 1; Shakira stayed at No. 2; Miley Cyrus stayed at No. 3; Taylor Swift went up from 6-4; Katy Perry went down from 4-5; Eminem went up from 9-7; Selena Gomez stayed at No. 8; Pitbull went up from 15-9; and Bruno Mars climbed up from 16-10.
