Bands showing support for Streets of London charity…
NME reports that The Rolling Stones, Coldplay, The Killers, and Atoms For Pearce have donated memorabilia for an online auction in the aid of the homeless charity Streets of London.
Items included in the auction were: a signed presentation disc of Coldplay's X&Y album; Streets Of London T-shirts signed by The Rolling Stones, The Killers, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, The xx, Band Of Horses, Atoms For Peace, Bastille and Biffy Clyro; signed T-shirts of Florence And The Machine and Alt-J; a signed canvas of Primal Scream's Screamadelica artwork; and a signed seven-inch single of The National's single "Think You Can Wait." Bidding for the auctions is being done on eBay and ends later today.
The Vaccines singer Justin Young said on the charity auction: "After the bad weather of the last few months, more than ever it's easy for me to appreciate just how tough and awful living on the streets without structure and support is. I think whatever people can do to contribute to making the lives of those people easier goes an incredibly long way."
