Jack White Announces New Album Lazaretto Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.01.2014
It is coming in June...
Billboard reports that Jack White will release the follow-up to 2012's Blunderbuss, called Lazaretto on June 10 through Third Man Records. The title song, which is also the lead single, will be released later this month. In the mean time, White has released a "first taste" of the album, an instrumental song called "High Ball Stepper."
There will be a special edition of the album with colorful vinyl, a poster, a 7-inch featuring demos of two songs ("Alone in My Home" and "Entitlement") and a hard-back book of photos and lyrics. The album will arrive in between White's concerts at the Governors Ball (June 6-8) and Bonnaroo (June 12-15).
Blunderbuss was White's first #1 album ever, as it debuted on top and sold 138,000 in its first week (and 553,000 so far). He never had a #1 while in the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather, but combined had seven top ten albums with all three bands.
