The Black Keys Experimenting With Sampling On New Album

The album arrives next month...
NME reports that the Black Keys have announced their new album Turn Blue, which will not only feature their longest ever song, but their first attempts at sampling. It will be released on May 13 and features eleven songs. This is their eighth album and the follow-up to 2011's El Camino.
The album is inspired from Italian movie soundtrack composer and singer Nico Fidenco. The song "Year in Review" samples Fidenco. Drummer Patrick Carney said it is "the first song we've ever used a sample on". The longest song on the album (and of the band's career) is "Weight of Love", which is almost seven minute long.
Dan Auerbach said: "I've never done a guitar solo like that."
The album was produced by Auerbach, Carney and Danger Mouse. It was recorded at Sunset Sound studios in Hollywood last summer. The Black Keys only left the studio one time during the two weeks of recording. Here is a track list:
'Weight of Love'
'Year In Review'
'Bullet in the Brain'
'It's Up to You Now'
'Waiting on Words'
'In Our Prime'
'Gotta Get Away'
