The 18th annual edition...
Billboard reports that Beyonce, Jay Z and Pharrell Williams join Ellen DeGeneres, Google and mountable video camera company GoPro as nominees for this year's 18th annual Webby awards.
Vice Media has the most nominations, followed by The New York Times (10) and Google (9). Williams' "24 Hours of Happy", a 24-hour music video, has been nominated, as was Jay Z's album release through Samsung.
The winners will be announced on April 29, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The group includes around a thousand Internet experts and professionals. The categories include a regular award (chosen by the academy) and a "people's voice" award, chosen by the public through a vote. This year's awards had over 12,000 submissions from over sixty countries. Eight percent were selected as nominees, which you can see a list of here.
