Pitchfork reports that Billy Corgan is set to release an experimental LP called AEGEA for $59.95. The album contains ambient/experimental recordings he made in 2007. He plays similar songs at his Chicago tea shop Madame ZuZu's.
Corgan wrote: "As a work, AEGEA is experimental in nature, and comes across as more a soundtrack to some lost foreign film than the kind of music I'm usually associated with. Listening back I quite like how AEGEA goes along, as it has qualities that are both meditative and alien; but not alienating."
There will be only 250 copies in the first pressing, hand-numbered and annotated by Corgan. You can also buy the album at Madame ZuZu's.
