And raise him as his son...
In an interview with Channel 4's Dead Famous DNA (via NME), Canadian dentist Dr. Michael Zuk says he is going to clone John Lennon using DNA from his tooth. He bought the tooth for almost $33,562 at an auction two years ago. The tooth used to be owned by Lennon's housekeeper. Zuk admitted that the technology isn't available to him at this time. He also said that the clone could have the ability to make a claim on Lennon's estate.
He said: "He could be looked at as my son. He would still be his exact duplicate but you know, hopefully keep him away from drugs and cigarettes, that kind of thing. But you know, guitar lessons wouldn't hurt anyone right? I don't think I would be the one, you know, owning his property, he would have the rights when he was old enough to make er, make a claim. [It] depends where you do these things. If it can't be done in one country you can do these things in another."
He also said that he could clone Lennon more than once. He added: "Well, if it works once it's going to work again, right?"
