Aerosmith Members Re-Record 'Dream On' In Honor of Boston Marathon Bombing Victims
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.10.2014

The two most prominent faces of Aerosmith have recorded a new version of their iconic hit "Dream On" in order to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Billboard reports that Steven Tyler and Joe Perry recorded a new take on the some, with the Southern California Children's Chorus accompanying them.

The song, which was performed during the Boston Strong Concert benefit in May of last year, will be part of ESPN's Dream On: Stories from Boston's Strongest special which will air on ABC this Saturday. It will be rebroadcast on ESPN on Tuesday, which is the anniversary of the event.

The Boston Marathon bombings shook the nation, killing three people and injuring 264 others when two bombs blew up near the finish line. Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev were named as the culprits, with Tamerlan dying after a shootout with authorities and Dzhokhar pleading not guilty to over thirty charges related to the attack.
