When will Christina be back?
UPDATE:The Wrap confirms that it is in fact season eight that Christina Aguilera will be back for. Whether Stefani, Aguilera or Shakira will be in the chair for season nine isn't known.
The site adds that Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are expected to be back. They have yet to miss a season.
ORIGINAL: The rotating roster of NBC's The Voice just a little bit more varied. The reality singing competition, which has supplanted American Idol as the most-watched show of its genre, has found success in keeping its roster a stable-yet-mutable group and that tradition continues as they will be bringing in Gwen Stefani to replace Christina Aguilera for the upcoming seventh season.
TMZ reports that according to several sources connected to the show, Stefani will step in for the upcoming fall cycle, as Aguilera will be about ready to give birth. NBC was hopeful that the pop diva would be able to stay but she's having a difficult time and elected not to come back for this cycle.
Stefani will be joining Pharrell Williams as a first-time coach; Pharrell is replacing Cee-Lo Green. Aguilera is set to come back for either the eighth or ninth season (TMZ says ninth, but they called the upcoming season the eighth so they may be off).
