Justin Bieber Asks For Delay in Miami DUI Trial
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.22.2014

Justin Bieber's lawyers want more time to prepare their case for his Miami DUI case. As we've reported, Bieber was arrested back in January on charges of DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license after what has been described as an illegal street race. His trial is set for May 5th, but Billboard reports that the pop star's lawyers have filed a motion asking for more time.

Prosecutors in the case are not opposing a delay; a hearing on the date is set for Wednesday.

Bieber blew under the 0.02 limit for underage drivers but also tested positive for marijuana and an anti-anxiety drug. It's one of a couple cases against him right now, including one in Toronto where he was accused of assaulting a limo driver.
