Future Shoots Down Rumors of a Beef With Drake
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.27.2014

You might remember at the end of last year that Drake and Future had reportedly started feuding after Future made some comments about Drake's last album. Well, not so much. As Future told MTV, the reports that flew around the internet about him getting kicked off the Canadian rapper's "Would You Like a Tour?" run was false and Drake had no problem with him at all.

The rumors came after Billboard posted an interview with Future where he was quoted as saying, "Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn't grab you. They're not possessive; they don't make you feel the way I do. I want to make you want to fall in love." But Future said that Drake was cool with everything and talked to him on the tour about it.

Future said, "The first day on tour [Drake] came into the dressing room and he was like man, ‘I know everything was taken out of context. [He said], ‘You don't even have to explain, we don't even have to talk about it. Let's just get the tour done bro. We don't need to go back and forth over it.'

Future noted that positive comments he'd made about Drake were left out of the story, adding, "They took it out of context and we moved on from it. It's just that simple. I can't just justify why would somebody wanna do that when they're [getting] a great story."

Drake appears on a track on Future's new album Honest, which released last week and is expected to hit #2 on the Billboard Charts this week. And of course, he continued on with the tour. So clearly it was no harm, no foul.
